Ms Ambika(former Academic Head )

“Parikrama Humanity Foundation has 4 Schools for the Under-served children in Bangalore. Our Schools provide free education, food and health care to all the children. The children are from the most impoverished homes. The child comes into Parikrma at the age of 5 and is with us till they find a suitable job. Most of our children have gone through a lot of psychological stress at a very early age .They come to school with a lot of trauma in the Mind. Teachers are not always equipped with handling behavioral problems which manifest in school and the classroom such as inferiority complex, attention deficit, low self-esteem, guilt, fear, peer-relationships, disturbed sleep etc. All of which naturally affected our children’s performance in school.

Sukrut was contacted, their approach has been 3 fold – including programmes for students, teachers and parents.Sukrut has done an amazing job at Parikrma. Teachers are able to manage and cope far better than before. They have a better understanding of themselves and their emotions which in turn has made them more sensitive and intelligent in the way they handle children and colleagues. Many children have gained confidence and are coping better in their academic performance and relationships. Timely interventions have helped children to adjust themselves better in school and in their homes. We continue to work along with Sukrut to date.”

Ms.Shruti, a teacher at Oasis International “The silence of the student/s in the class room has been misinterpreted on various occasions. Today, with the help of Sukrut those ‘silences’, can be more wholly understood. As teachers, we are able to identify the ones who need the additional care and attention, academically and emotionally. I feel that Sukrut has helped in bridging this gap.”

ICC (Inward Change Conference)

“I read somewhere, “accept what you can’t change, and change what you cannot accept”. ICC enabled me do so. It has allowed me to accept myself with all the flaws, the horrors of past and derive my strengths from it. I feel much more confident, strong willed and cheerful. I have completed my internship of 4 yrs, which has empowered me to understand and give new meaning not only to my pain, as well as facilitate others too.” Ms.Arunita, Psychologist at Sukrut

“The journey of looking into oneself helped me to know who I am. Why I react to a particular situation in a certain way? What are my potentials? And gave a lot of space to just be with me and myself only.” Ms.Gracie, Psychologist at Sukrut

“It really helped me introspect at a deeper level. It made me think about what I was doing right and wrong – in terms of my approach towards people and situations and change what I needed to change in order to improve the effectiveness and quality of my relationship/s. It also helped me see myself in a different way – accept myself, life-situations and experiences. In a nutshell, it functioned as a huge eye – opener for me!” Ms.Swetha, Psychologist at Sukrut

“Listening to the stories of ICC was hair-raising; being a part of it was overwhelming still…. Many people interpret these things in their subjective ways but it is an experience that rewards those who are willing to ‘truly introspect’. The difficulty was in being open, vulnerable & receptive to the feedback. But once i managed to do that learning took place. Being able to apply that feedback was another arduous process, but some days are better than others… It housed the experience of ‘rebirth’ – a shift from who i was to what i actually wanted to be, based on reality. It as an experience you will not walk away from empty- minded!” Sabina S Samuel, Psychologist at Sukrut

GRC (International Group Relations Conference) :

“There is lot to take from GRC, for my work life. It has made me to be more assertive, planned and balanced in my work. It has brought stability in my work, as well as I can manage work and personal life in much productive way.” – Ms. Arunita, Psychologist at Sukrut.

“The GRC has helped me take a step back and evaluate the way I work in my organization throwing light into issues of how I deal with my own authority and leadership in various situations. It has also helped me explore and build my working styles.” Ms.Swetha, Psychologist at Sukrut.
The GRC helped me to understand how I behave in groups. It helped me come out of my illogical thoughts about myself as well as the perspectives of the group members. It empowered me to take some crucial decisions in my life.” Ms.Gracie, Psychologist at Sukrut.
