CONFERENCE AND RESEARCH

Sukrut has been offering it’s own International Conference promoting psychoanalytic thought, reflection, and practice – every alternate year since 2013. The 7 th . event in February 2023 was on the theme “Adolescence – What’s Happening?”, with Dr Sudhir Kakar attending all sessions and offering reflections. In June 2015, Sukrut gave a talk Entrepreneurship & Innovation in India: The Leadership Challenge, at India International Center, in Goa. (Video-record of this interactive session is available.)

At OPUS International Conference 2015 in London, Sukrut presented a paper  Study of Adolescence in India through a Psycho-social Lens so as to Design Interventions for Development of the Self in the Management of Authority, Role, and Boundaries.

At OPUS International Conference 2016 in London, Sukrut presented a paper Sexuality in India thru a Psycho-social Lens: A Unique GRC Intervention.

In December 2016, Sukrut gave a talk Innovations in Business: A Leadership Development Case-study of two Public-Sector Oil-Majors in India, an IMI India and EGADE Mexico international Conference, in Bhubaneshwar.

At OPUS International Conference 2017 in London, Sukrut presented two papers: G stands for Greed: Psychoanalytic Perspectives of a Fallen Hero, and Does Sturm und Drang unleash the Self.

In November 2019, Sukrut presented findings from a taught course at IIM Udaipur, at a pan-European business-school conference hosted by St Gallen, Switzerland.

An empirical paper based on the IIMU experience, titled Reflexive Leadership Coaching in a B-school in India, was published in July 21 in Education Journal, USA, Vol. X (4). doi: 10.11648/j.edu.20211004.15.

In May 2020, Wiley Online published a paper by Sukrut titled Public Leadership in the Public Sector. doi.org/10.1002/jls.21690 .

In September 2020, the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations (ISPSO), UK published a piece titled Lockdown Reflections – Unlocked Thoughts.

In June 2021, The Pandemic in India: A Therapeutic Reawakening was published in The Therapeutic Care Journal, The International Center for Therapeutic Care, London, UK.

On 18 March 2023, Sukrut was invited to speak at the first China-America Society for the Study of Groups and Organizations (CASSGO) 2023 中美团体与组织研究学会 Group Relations International Salon 2023年度 团体 关系国际沙龙 held online on 18 & 19 March 2023 年3月18–19日.

A Sukrut paper titled The active citizen to salvage our persecuted earth: a need for psychodynamic explorations was published in Organisational & Social Dynamics (OSD, UK), 23(1) 33–50 (2023), Phoenix Publishing House. doi: 10.33212/osd.v23n1.2023.33.

A Book Review of Doolally Sahib and the Black Zamindar: Racism and Revenge in the British Raj by MJ Akbar was published in CITTA – A Sukrut India Publication to Promote Psychoanalytic Reflections, Vol. 1, Summer 2023. Pg. 91-97.

Empirically researched papers illustrate practices by Sukrut-trained Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists, helping construct meaningful interventions and reflections from Indian society.
